Main Street Gettysburg Names New President
Main Street Gettysburg’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that it has named Jill Sellers as its new President. She succeeds the current President of 14 years, Deb Adamik, who will retire later this spring.
“Our Board of Directors is excited to welcome Mrs. Sellers to Main Street Gettysburg” said Board Chair, Timbrel Wallace. “Jill possesses the experience and passion to guide the organization into the future and continue its success in creating a lasting positive impact on our community.”
Mrs. Sellers comes to Main Street Gettysburg with a wide array of experience which positions her well to take on the many roles required of the President of a non-profit that embodies an impactful mission with a small staff. Upon graduation from Middlebury Institute of International Studies with a Master and Bachelor of Arts in International Policy, she worked as an Intelligence Officer for the Defense Intelligence Agency and then as a Program Manager for Northrup Grumman. After a move west to Wyoming, Mrs. Sellers founded a public relations company, as well as served as the Board President for the Weston County Hospital and as an Administrator for the County of Weston.
In response to her selection as the next President of Main Street Gettysburg, Mrs. Sellers says, “I am truly honored to have been chosen to lead Main Street Gettysburg. I thrive on public service and being connected to community, so this opportunity is like a calling for me. It’s a dream come true, to live in and to serve Gettysburg. I felt an immediate rapport with the Board and love their energy and readiness for the road ahead. I know we will be a great team to deliver projects that will preserve our history and pave the way to our future.”
